Sorry Guys

So the few of you that follow me may have noticed that I’m rubbish at blogging at weekends. I apologise, it’s usually because I’m busy, but I do try to blog more.

Things that happened today:
• Naples (my Italian football team) won 5-1. Woo!
• I read things about quantum physics
• I went into town and found a really cool art shop with loads of Banksy stuff, but I had no camera so I couldn’t take pictures. I think I may get Em (my girlfriend) her present from there.
• I saw a horrible giant new Primark store which I will write a post about tomorrow.
• I watched my parents argue with my uncle about my other uncle.
• I ate lots of food.

That was my day. Nothing deep or inspirational, I’ll have to make up for it tomorrow.
Night all.

A Long Day in a Long Season

This is probably gonna be my only post today because it’s been a little busy, so sorry about that. Dad started teaching me to drive today, which was fun. Nothing got destroyed, whcih was more than I expected. I can go backwards, forwards and around corners, which is pretty much everything that you need to know, right?

Then came the football, a subject that is going to dominate this post. Posh 1 – 4 Blackpool. At home. Another clattering, rock bottom and staring relegation in the face. Nobody is playing well, the new loanees were dull at best. It was painfull to watch, especially seeing as we were all over them first half. I get the terrible feeling that if we get relegated to League 1, then MacAnthony and in turn Ferguson will walk. We can’t afford to. All we can do is pray for a miracle and dig in for a long, long season.

So we’re going round my uncle Giovanni’s for takeaway, it should be a good evening, nothing like spending time with the family. Apparently it’s for my good results, but who needs an excuse to get together. If I don’t post again, goodnight everybody, hope you had good Saturdays.

A Day for Old People

This week has gone really fast. Well, these past 5 days. They just seem to be disappearing faster and faster, where does the time go? (Either behind or in front of us, depending on which way you look at it. I always remember that quote, but I can’t seem to remember what book it’s from.) My friend Maks put it in a very depressing yet truthful manner. “And so my life draws a week closer to its end.” I mean, that really is a depressing thought for a 16 year old to be having, that every second of existence they pass is a second closer to their death. Though I guess it is an idea we have become used to, there’s nothing we can do about it. As Gandalf the Grey aptly stated, “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.” And it isn’t like there isn’t a lot you can do with it. But anyway, that was my depressing thought of the day.
It was an interesting walk home though. Once Maks had gone in, I passed an old man with a cassette player gaffer taped to the back of his bike playing country and western. He looked about 80, and the bike not much older, but he didn’t seem to have a care in the world. He certainly made me smile. And then there were the two old men standing on the corner, laughing and screwing around like they were still 16. One was Italian, the other asian and wearing a turban. It was another sight that made me smile. It’s weird to think that they were once strapping yound lads with their whole lives ahead of them and the world at their feet.
I also had a chat with someone I rarely ever speak with, though I’m not sure why. I know that my dad once broke his dad’s leg in a game of football and nearly killed him, but that was an accident so I can’t see him being hung up over it. It was nice to talk though.
In other news, I got another A* in my Geography mock, woo!
I think that was all of the interesting stuff that happened today, I’ll put anything else on if I remember. Thanks for reading!

A Good Day of Blogging

Today was a particularly good day for blogging. I have something like 32 views and 10 followers, which is pretty small but for my second night on WordPress makes me happy. It’s odd to think that even that few people actually read the things I say. Let’s just say it went better than my brief encounter with Tumblr. It’s a relief to not see hipster accounts, overly deep twelve year olds and fandoms everywhere I look. Instead I see intelligent people with interesting opinions on things that actually engage my mind.
In other news, I got an A* in my Biology mock. Woo!
On that note I’ll check out and get some sleep. Thank you all for supplying me with intelligent life, goodnight.

A day about the future

So after school today I went to see a few of my teachers about work experience and extra maths and physics stuff I can do to get involved. I mean, it’s what I’m interested in, just because I’m in year 11, why souldn’t I be able to go further? The information is out there, I just need someone to show me it. There’s only one thing other than food I demand in large quantities, and that’s knowledge. Sometimes I just feel the need to know everything, but that might take me a while so I stick to the stuff I’m interested in. My maths teacher was going to a meeting, and my physics teacher couldn’t help much, but some new guy who came in with the academy overheard us talking, dragged me into his office and told me he’d have something to do with engineering by the end of the week. Result! So hopefully I’ll be able to start getting involved pretty soon.

On another note, I walked all the way to Park Farm in the freezing cold to give my girlfriend a hug. I know it’s just too cute.

So yeah, that was all that happened today. Hope you enjoyed my first life post, shoot me questions or advice if you’re even interested.
